This conference was organised by the Australian Institute of Criminology in conjunction with the Department of Education, Employment and Training, Victoria and Crime Prevention Victoria.

Introduction
The conference provided an opportunity for practitioners, researchers and policymakers involved with the prevention of anti-social behaviour and crime in schools to discuss the incidence and types of these activities. Particular emphasis was be placed on preventive strategies and pro-active programs.
