Abstract
The Australian Institute of Criminology sponsored a survey concerning attitudes to police and police services. This report extracts information concerning personal opinions and experiences of the police. It discusses respect for police; satisfaction with police performance; perceptions of police honesty, politeness and helpfulness; experiences of being stopped or questioned by police; and experiences from those requesting assistance.
