This conference was organised by the Australian Institute of Criminology in conjunction with the Department of Corrective Services, New South Wales.

Contents
Introduction
This conference addresses best practice interventions in juvenile and adult corrections for Indigenous people. Topics covered include best practice examples in: offending behaviour programs; educational programs; cultural programs; suicide prevention; health care; substance abuse programs; and administration. In addition, the conference addresses methods of diverting Indigenous offenders from detention and prison, including: remand; sentencing options; and community corrections.
