Abstract
Findings are summarised from the report 'National project on drink spiking : investigating the nature and extent of drink spiking in Australia', which was prepared by the Australian Institute of Criminology and released in 2004. Information is presented on the estimated extent of the problem; the different circumstances of drink spiking; what drinks are spiked with (noting that alcohol tends to dominate forensic findings); the kind of counselling victims require; and suggested drink spiking prevention strategies.
