Abstract

Community based crime prevention planning relies on the group defining its common vision, then identifying what must change for this vision to be realised. This chapter outlines how to conduct a community meeting as a means of gathering community viewpoints. This should include determining community attitudes about crime, the crime problems to be addressed, and goals to be set.
