Abstract
Planning a community based crime prevention program involves seeking solutions to local problems and developing a plan for action. Both the target group and the target crime should be addressed. The chapter provides advice on addressing problems, finding sources of ideas for developing a program, using community services and resources, action planning, and using support groups.
