Abstract
Implementing a community crime prevention program involves an effort to turn the plans into reality. This chapter provides suggestions on making a program work and explains some of the reasons why many programs fail in the first six months. It emphasises the importance of the community feeling it owns the project and has a part to play in healing itself.
