Abstract
A perceived problem of school children causing damage to upper decks of buses in northern Britain led to the installation of video cameras on the buses in conjunction with a publicity campaign, a program of visits to schools and the follow-up of offences in the child's school and home. The measures were highly successful and it appears that displacement of this vandalism has not occurred. This chapter concludes with a summary of the strategies used in several countries to reduce vandalism and graffiti on both railway and bus public transport.
