Abstract
Vandalism and graffiti impose huge costs to society, not only in dollars but through danger to human lives, increased fear of crime, loss of services and a lowering of the quality of life in our communities. This chapter discusses the graffiti subculture and those who practice it; and motives of vandals and types of vandalism.
