Abstract
The author discusses some of the strategies that can be selected by a community group to build into a community crime prevention program centred around ensuring safe neighbourhoods. She covers: working together; working with police; reducing opportunities for crime; protective schemes like Neighbourhood Watch; and community care support groups for women, children, youth, victims and the elderly.
