Abstract
Simple precautions are suggested to maximise personal safety on the streets. Hazlehurst also briefly touches on the problem of "street relations" between different ethnic communities living in the same neighbourhood, and provides advice on ways to avoid or resolve racial tension, intercultural feuds, harassment, racial attacks or intimidation.
