Abstract
When assessing ways in which crime prevention measures for older people can be implemented, it is necessary to examine crime prevention strategies in general. The forms of crime prevention taken and the models followed are outlined in this chapter under the groupings: situational crime prevention, social crime prevention, multi-agency cooperation and overseas models.
