Abstract
In December 2008, the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) held an international
conference on homicide with a focus on domestic-related homicide. Undertaken
as part of project funded by the Australian Government to examine the issue of
domestic-related homicide in Australia, the conference was an important opportunity
to learn about international and national developments in research, policy and practice.
This report includes the papers of keynote speakers, with an emphasis on policy- and
practice-relevant research.
Acknowledgements
The contribution of the participants in the international conference on homicide is acknowledged, along with the invaluable assistance of AIC colleagues in organising the conference, notably Alyssa Handy, Scott Kelleher and Dr Larissa Sandy.
