Abstract
Motives for homicides between adult sexual intimates are explored in this chapter. Contributing factors to the homicides include prior physical violence; use of alcohol and other drugs; jealousy; separation; psychiatric illness; physical illness. The statistics and case histories presented indicate that no one simple cause and effect formula can be found, and there is no simple solution to these violent crimes.
