Abstract
The analyses presented suggest that during the past decade attempts at prohibition and cessation of marijuana use have failed. Not only is marijuana widely available but it is widely used and many people would use it if offered to them. The book examines patterns of use, characteristics of users, adolescent use of marijuana, state analysis of users, cross national perspectives, and attitudes towards marijuana.
