Abstract
This paper discusses drivers and their drinking, using data from a national study which investigated the behaviour, experiences and attitudes towards drink driving of Australian drivers. The authors focus on compliance with drink driving legislation, exploring how people who drink manage their driving. Although there is strong evidence that many people who drink control their driving, more assistance and information is needed to ensure that the modification is sufficient.
