Abstract
Dolan discusses HIV problems in British prisons in relation to risk behaviours such as syringe sharing, sex, and tattooing. She briefly recommends ways to prevent the spread of AIDS in prisons. Her data are drawn from an evaluation of syringe exchange schemes.
