Abstract
The author outlines the beginning and progress of AIDS education programs in South Australian prisons, for staff and inmates. The program is based on the experiential learning model. He explains the processes which establishing such a model necessitates, for example, the negotiation of commitment from participants. The next step is the development of a prisoner peer educational model.
