Abstract
Comments are made on a range of aspects relating to penalties not just for fraud but for white collar crime in general. The most serious frauds are perpetrated by corporations, And Braithwaite concentrates on these corporate offences. He notes that corporate criminal law needs to be strengthened by providing enforcement bodies with adequate resources; increasing the number of convictions; using harsher fines and even imprisonment; introducing equity fines; and perhaps seizing assets.
