Abstract
The Good Neighbourhood Program utilises a crime prevention approach based on community and social development. It attempts to address the causes of crime at the local level and is part of an integrated anti crime strategy known as VICSAFE. Dussuyer outlines the origins of the program, the way it operates across Victoria, and some of the issues and concerns which have emerged. Some directions for the future are identified.
