Abstract
The Women's Safety Project was undertaken by the Queensland Police Service to enhance the safety of women in Queensland by focusing on violence prevention and the heightened fear of violence against women. A number of strategies have been initiated by the project, including: a community awareness campaign; HomeSafe; a senior citizens program; StreetSafe; CabSafe; and CitiSafe. These initiatives will enhance the safety of all community members, not just women.
