Abstract
The authors examine the value of community networking to address crime prevention. They discuss function specific, mission and cross communication networks, and examine two networking approaches. While process oriented networking is the norm, the authors prefer results oriented networking, and describe the success of this approach in the Croydon Good Neighbourhood Program. They conclude with a list of eight essential strategies for effective community networking.
