Abstract
In response to the rising death and injury rates occurring on Victorian roads, the Traffic Camera Enforcement Program was established to address the problem. Initiatives used for identifying and resolving poor driver behaviour and attitudes are described, and a number of graphs illustrate the level of success achieved. Through the development of a Traffic Infringement Management System (TIMS) and well-coordinated management, the Traffic Camera Office now leads the world in the application of high technology for traffic law enforcement.
