Abstract

Braithwaite considers the justice side of juvenile justice as opposed to welfare. He discusses reintegrative shaming which allows communities, parents and families to administer their own forms of justice. He explains the New Zealand and Wagga Wagga models of family group conferences and how they can become a catalyst for communities to take responsibility for ongoing action plans.
