Abstract
This chapter presents statistical data on violent deaths and use of firearms from 1915 until 1994, including a breakdown of homicide, suicide and accidents by firearm. It provides graphs of the number of firearm related homicides and suicides and the percentage of homicides and suicides caused by firearms, as well as the rate of accidental deaths by firearms over that period. A table of recorded multiple killings from 1987 until 28 April 1996 is also included.
