Abstract
The 1995 Violence Against Women Indicators Project (VAWIP) comprehensively reviewed research, data and information relating to violence against women. This report on the activities of the first year of VAWIP presents summaries of Australian research, the data currently available (including a list of significant data collections), and domestic violence legislation. It also makes recommendations concerning key research and data issues.
