Abstract
Using data collected as part of the Institute's National Homicide Monitoring Program, the authors present an analysis of homicide trends covering seven years and 2226 homicide incidents. Chapters cover incident characteristics, victim characteristics, offender profiles, the social relationship between the victim and the offender, conclusions drawn from the data and policy implications and suggestions.
