Abstract
This report focuses on femicide and examines the similarities and distinctive differences between the killing of women and the killing of men. By identifying factors associated with the increased likelihood of homicide victimisation for females, and by discussing the policy implications of these findings, the Australian Institute of Criminology hopes to contribute to the reduction of violence in Australia by reducing the risk where risk is greatest.
