Abstract
A short overview of urine testing is presented along with the various issues associated with this procedure and its application to the Drug Use Monitoring in Australia program. The DUMA project uses urine results as one of its key indicators of drug use so Makkai explains urinalysis testing and the processes involved in obtaining a result. She also discusses the chemical changes that occur once a drug has been ingested, cut-off levels and concentration levels.
