Abstract

This chapter, despite its title, gives a detailed overview of the nature of homicide in Australia during the period 1989-1999, using data from the National Homicide Monitoring Program. It examines the material circumstances of homicide incidents, victim characteristics, offender characteristics, and victim-offender relationships.
