Abstract
A study which investigated significant procedures in the criminal justice process which impact on female child complainants of sexual abuse, as well as the range of consequences of their involvement, is reported. The authors highlight some of the ongoing problems which need to be addressed in order that children are not further traumatised through their interaction with the criminal justice system.
