Abstract
Violence against children takes the forms of physical and emotional abuse, neglect and sexual abuse. The authors report on how widespread the problem is in Australia, and discuss the causes and effects of child abuse. They also review what has been accomplished in dealing with the problem and what more can be done in the future. This report includes an extract from the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child.
