Reintegrating Indigenous offenders: recidivism among Indigenous Australians who have been imprisoned

  • AIC research project
  • Start date: January 2006 (complete)

Description

This project identified patterns of offending and particular demographic characteristics that are linked to recidivism among Indigenous males imprisoned for violent offences. The project also examined if formal interventions designed to stop reoffending and promote reintegration have led to positive outcomes for this group of prisoners.
