- AIC research program
- Start date: January 2008
Description
As a partner in the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC), the AIC is reviewing and monitoring research and related initiatives that can inform effective resource and information dissemination among key criminal justice stakeholders. The work will help to build the capacity of legal and law enforcement agencies and practitioners to respond more effectively to prevent the uptake and use of cannabis in the community. The activities undertaken by the AIC are to:
- review the literature and practice models
- produce bulletins for the target audiences
- devise and implement activities that will contribute to building capacity among legal practitioners and law enforcement agencies
- produce information resources to be used with the target audiences (these may also be of use to other professionals, and to the staff and partners of the NCPIC).
