Evaluation to assess ACT Policing's Family violence intervention program data collection methods

  • AIC research program
  • Start date: January 2008

Description

The AIC was commissioned by ACT Policing to review and assess their future data collection needs and methods. In particular, four key needs were identified:

  • identifying the priorities for ACT Policing's family violence data collection - what do ACT Policing and their stakeholders need to know and why?
  • developing workload indicators - how much does family violence contribute to the work of ACT Policing?
  • identifying the best measures of police effectiveness in the FVIP
  • identifying how data could be collected from ACT Policing systems in an efficient and sustainable manner.
