Careers in criminology
Criminology is a social science concerned with how crime is measured, who commits crimes and why, and how society responds. Forensics and crime scene investigation are mainly done by scientists and police detectives, rather than criminologists.
The AIC is not a teaching institution. Several Australian universities have criminology courses at the diploma, degree and higher levels.
