Homicide trends
2003-04 saw the lowest number of homicide incidents and victims recorded in Australia since the AIC began monitoring in 1989. Compared with the previous year (2002-03) there was a slight decline in the number of homicide incidents and victims, that is a 3% decrease for incidents; 6% decrease for victims.
