Abstract
This collection reproduces and updates some of the major reports published during the first few years of the Trends & issues in crime and criminal justice series. The series, begun in July 1986, has attracted considerable media and public attention because it deals with contemporary crime and justice issues in an intelligent and comprehensible manner. The reports within this collection document the most recent information available on the state of crime in Australia and identifies emerging issues in crime and criminal justice.
