The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act). The AIC will promote a culture of appropriate proactive disclosure as required by the Information Publication Scheme (IPS).

The AIC is required to publish an IPS agency plan that explains how it intends to implement the IPS. A new agency plan will be available soon.
