ISSN 1034-6627

Vol. 1 No. 1 1990 - Vol. 5 No. 6 1995

Welcome to the first issue of the Australian Criminology Information Bulletin, published by the Australian Institute of Criminology and produced by staff of the Institute's JV Barry Library.

The Bulletin will be published six times each year. Each issue will contain news of people and their work, research, conferences and seminars, and publications. Each issue will also contain newly indexed additions to CINCH The Australian Criminology Database, as well as a section with recent additions to the Institute's J V Barry Library. We intend also to report on innovations in the application of computer-based technology in the criminal justice environment.

Information Bulletin of Australian Criminology [new series]

ISSN 0813-6998

Vol. 1 No. 1 1984 - Vol. 3 No. 1-4 1986

Due to staffing restriction in the J.V. Barry Memorial Library, two years have elapsed since the last issue of the Information Bulletin of Australian Criminology (Vol. 9 No. 1 June 1982). An increase in staff has enabled the Library to recommence the production of the Information Bulletin with a new series (Vol. 1 No. 1 June 1984).

To begin the new series it has been decided that current material received in the Library from April 1984 will be indexed. However, at some time in the future (yet to be decided) it is hoped that journals and monographs from June 1982 to April 1984 will be indexed and published in a single issue to complete volume 9. A few changes have been made to the Information Bulletin. Despite the value of indexing Parliamentary Debates (Commonwealth, A.C.T. and State) it was decided that on past experience it was not possible to keep up with the volume of material and it was also difficult to obtain the material from the States. Therefore these will no longer be indexed. The list of journals has been revised and will continue to be an annual feature. References relating to New Zealand and Papua New Guinea will, as in the past, be included in material indexed.

Australian Institute of Criminology Information Bulletin

(Also titled: Information Bulletin of Australian Criminology)

ISSN 0311-6603

Vol. 1 No. 1 1974 - Vol. 9 No. 1 1982

During 1973 the Board of Management of the Institute resolved that in addition to our regular Newsletter and publication of conference and seminar materials we should endeavour to publish an information bulletin. It was considered that such a bulletin, which would promulgate in condensed form items of interest in the wide field of criminology and relevant administration, would be of some interest and assistance to a large number of persons.
