The AIC has released new research on perceptions among people who use drugs of whether police treat people fairly and make impartial decisions. The study uses Global Drug Survey data to compare the perceptions of drug users in Australia and in 29 other countries.
The JV Barry Library was established in 1974 and is a major criminal justice information resource that supports the information needs of the Institute's research programs and provides services to key stakeholders and other clients.

The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is Australia’s national research and knowledge centre on crime and justice, compiling trend data and disseminating research and policy advice. Undertaking research is the core function of the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC). The AIC conducts research on a range of crime and justice issues to provide timely, policy-relevant research to the Australian Government and other key stakeholders.
