New studies reveal the changing culture within outlaw motorcycle gangs in Australia

The latest report from the National Deaths in Custody Program (NDICP) - Deaths in custody in Australia 2018-19 Statistical Report is now available.

This paper explores the relationship between social isolation, time spent at home, financial stress and domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2019, 78 percent (n=676) of detainees tested positive to at least one type of drug, and 44 percent (n=382) tested positive to more than one drug type. Methamphetamine had the highest test positive rate of any drug (51%, n=444), and was also described as the most readily available.
